“Custom Firmware” 5.00 TZS-6 Released

Now I use the term “custom firmware” loosely — this is really 5.00 M33-6 with extras flashed in… Extras like PSNLover, Torky’s M33 6.20 plugin, which adds support for 6.00+ games & the Go!Cam, 6.XX XMB icons (note: there’s no digital comic reader), and the M33-7 recovery console.
The 5.00 TZS-6 easy installer comes from Sawaz and The Z, who released a similar installer for SensMe. TZS-6 is only compatible with PSP Slim models (non-TA088v3) and in order to successfully flash this you must already be running 5.00 M33-6.
Personally I recommend you stick with 5.00 M33-6  and manually install the plugins you need. Messing with flash can be dangerous, but you knew that. Should you want to proceed anyway, here’s how:

1. Ensure you’re running 5.00 M33-6 first. If not, skip this entirely.
2. Copy “5.00 TZS-6 Easy Installer” to PSP/GAME on your memory stick.
3. Create a “kd620″ directory in the root of your memory stick.
4. In the seplugins directory, remove psnlover.prx & m33_620.prx, and their entries in vsh.txt and game.txt.
5. Launch the easy installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
6. After a successful install, enter the recovery console and set:
   
   
   • Configuration -> Fake region -> Korea
   • Configuration -> Use version.txt -> Enabled
7. Boot back to the XMB and try it out.

 

I can confirm this working as advertised; TZS-6 flashed successfully on my PSP-2000 running 5.00 M33-6,but like I said above, I don’t recommend it.

1. Unpack with WinRAR
2. Connect your PSP to computer
3. Put 5.00_Prometheus folder in PSP -> GAME
4. Disconnect USB
5. In XMB, go to GAME and run the 5.00_Prometheus installer.
6. Please delete the folder after you are done.

• Direct download to the PSP over Wi-Fi. This can be performed by choosing [Settings], [System Update] from the XMB.

• Included on the UMD of some games. These games may not run with earlier firmware than the version on their UMD.
• Download from a PS3 to a PSP system via USB cable. (Japanese version only)

While system software updates can be used with consoles from any region, Sony recommends only downloading system software updates released for the region corresponding to the system's place of purchase. System software updates have added various features including a web browser, Adobe flash player 6 support, additional codecs for images, audio, and video, PlayStation 3 connectivity, as well as patches against several security exploits, vulnerabilities, and execution of homebrew programs.^[1]The battery must be at least 75% charged or else the system will prevent the update code from installing. Custom firmware (CFW)

What is the best firmware for my Sony PSP

If you are using original Sony PSP version it is better to have the latest firm ware. 

BUT if you have to choose between CFW 5.00 M33-6 or 5.50 Gen D3 , I will advice to installed 5.00-M33-6 from Dark Alex.

My Sony psp brick, How to ubrick it?

When you turn on the power, only green led on but nothing happen

How do I brick my psp ?

PSP always brick when you upgrade or downgrade your firm ware and you made a mistake in the process.
You also can brick your psp if you try to downgrade your chicken set from 6.10 to 5.03.

How do I unbrick my psp?

First you must know your psp, is it full hack or full modded. There is no way you can unbrick your psp full modded 3000 or 2000 originally installed with firmware 5.03 MHU. You must buy a new mobo with firmware lower than ver 5.00 installed.
(A lot of people confused when i explain to them)

If your psp is full hack or crack, then its your luck. You can unbrick your psp
to any firmware you want! That is why full crack psp is so special and more expensive (PSP 3000 better coz got mic HUH!)

It is easier to bring your psp to psp shop or to me (019 363 1236 meeting place at Tesco Kajang)and let us unbrick for you. Just pay us RM30 to RM60. Then your are ready to play again.

So which one is for me ?

For Malaysian people it is very important their psp can play iso/cso or download games means errr...playing games from memory card.

If you are 12 yrs and above :
Any psp is suitable for you but make sure your psp has firmware 5.00 M33-6 or 5.50 GenD3 (full crack)or
5.03MHU(chicken set - Full modded)

If you are 12 yrs below :
Chose fully crack only firmware 5.00 M33-6 or 5.50GenD3 (full crack)

So in summary which Model is full crack?
All psp 1000 and psp 2000 before April 2008 is full hack.

Model full modded ?
All psp 3000 and psp 2000 manufactured after April 2008 and has firmware 5.03 installed.

How to check Firm ware?
In XMB menu, go to setting->system setting->system information.

What is the different between full-modded and full hack?
Full hack will not lose its firmware when the power is completely off i.e pull out the battery because the firmware is write in psp bios.

Full modded will lose its crack firmware when the battery is pulled out or drain out because its write on psp ram. Sony somewhat has able to install hardware to detected costume firmware and will refuse to write it into psp bios.
